VISITS

 INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY MALAYSIA (IIUM):

 

On being invited by Prof. Waqar Asrar, Head of Mechanical Engineering (IIUM), delegation consisting of our Vice-Chairman / Correspondent, Er. V.M Abdul Latheef and Head of Mechanical Engineering, Er. Amjad Syed traveled to Kualalumpur, Malaysia on one week educational visit to International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).  Our College Alumni in Malaysia (Abdul Khaliq, Abdul Hakeem Javid, Laique Ahmed, Md. Zayan and Md. Kaleemullah) received them at Kualalumpur airport on 17^th October.

On 18^th October, the delegation explored the IIUM campus visiting Administration building, faculty of Engineering, faculty of Architecture, Library, Mosque etc,.  Also, they had an opportunity to have a informal meeting with Prof. Waqar Asrar and other faculty members of the mechanical department.

On 19^th October, the delegation gave a presentation of our college describing the current student strength, achievements of our college and research & development activities. During the presentation, proposal for collaboration with Faculty of Engineering of IIUM in research activities, faculty visits/exchange, conduct of conferences, publications was put forth.

Prof. Dr Amir Akramine Shafie, Dean of faculty of Engineering (IIUM), Prof. Dr. Waqar Asrar, Head of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Md. Zahangir Alam, Head of Biotechnology and other senior Professors of the various engineering departments attended the presentation followed by discussion. The IIUM panel present there readily agreed for the cooperation and indicated to proceed towards the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between our college and Faculty of Engineering of IIUM.

Our Vice-Chairman and his team member returned to India on Friday 21^st October 2011 after a successful educational visit to Malaysia.
