● Zenith 11, Department Society was inaugurated by Dr. S.k. Sekar, Director, Centre for Disastor Mitigation and Management, VIT University on 01.08.2011.
Students Participitations:
● MD Shabaz Hussain. M of final year participated in paper presentation held on 12.09.11 &13.09.11 at SRM University, Chennai.
● Mohammed Uzair P and Mohammed siddique T of second year participated in paper presentation held on 21.09.11 at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Science and Technology, Thiruvallur District.
WORKSHOP / INPLANT TRAINING:
● S.Ravikumar, P.Madhanagopal, J.Narayana Moorthy, K. Elumalai, S.Sadham Hussain, J.Dinesh of final year civil has attended workshop in "REVI ARCHITECTURES" conducted by KKM SOFT (P) Ltd, Chennai.
● J.Saiyad Ameen of final year civil has undergone 15 days training in LONG JAIN CONSTRUCTION OF ROADS & BRIDGES- A Chinese company.
● S. Mohammed Nowfal, Md. Shoaib, V.Arif, of 3rd year civil has undergone 7 days training in B&B DEVELOPERS &BUILDERS PVT LTD, Vellore from 26.06.11 to 02.07.2011.
● N.Sathish of 3rd year civil has undergone 8days training in LARSEN & TOUBRO LIMITED, Chennai from 31.08.2011 to .7.09.2011.
Faculty
● Mrs.T.Pankajavalli and Ms. K.Prashnathini Asst.Professors participated in the Faculty Development Program "Mission 10X" conducted at the college by WIPRO Technologies in association with VIT University, Vellore, from 26 to 30th August 2011.
● Mrs.A.Subashini and Ms. K.Prashnathini Asst.Professors attended an workshop on "Non-Destructive Testing Techniques" conducted by CDMM at VIT University, Vellore, on 21.10.2011.

● 3rd year civil Engg., Students visited RAILWAY TRACK at Katpadi on 21.9.2011.
